“BTS Making the Most of Your Elevator Pitch”  (2 hours)

For transitioning 21st century veterans and active duty military personnel

This workshop teaches participants how to develop a short introduction that highlights their career goals and applicable skills so that the listener will want to ask “Tell me more”. During the workshop, participants will create an “elevator pitch” and practice it several times.

“BTS Interview Savvy Workshop” (4 hours)

For transitioning active duty military personnel or 21st Century Veterans

Participants must have created a resume before attending this class.                                

This workshop  provides hands on practice in the art of effective interviewing. You will learn skills such as how to answer the question “tell me about yourself”, handle interview situations, and what questions to ask a potential employer.

“BTS Mentor Savvy Workshop” (3 hours)

For BTS mentor and outreach volunteers.

Particpants must have submitted a mentor or volunteer application before attending this class.

This workshop provides an overview of the challenges facing transitioning military veterans as they begin their new career search. Participants learn about the tools that are currently used for a 21st century job search, effective mentoring competencies, and the BTS protocols for mentors.

“BTS Community Outreach”  (30 minutes)

A presentation for businesses and professional associations

This presentation provides education and awareness on the hurdles facing current-generation veterans seeking civilian employment. You will also gain an understanding and increased appreciation for the skills and capabilities of our country’s thoroughly-trained and motivated veteran job seekers.

This presentation is given by invitation only. Currently, presentations can be requested in the greater Puget Sound area. Consideration will be given for areas adjacent to Puget Sound. Continuing education credits may be available.
